5 Ton IP65 304 Stainless Steel Cleanroom Transfer Cart Motorized Transfer Trolley for Washdown

This stainless steel cleanroom transfer cart is built for plants where a standard painted carbon steel cart cannot be admitted to the production area at all. The frame, deck and side panels are fabricated from 304 brushed stainless steel, with a 316L option for chlorinated washdown and saline environments, and every external surface is continuous, crevice free and drainable so that a foam wash or an alcohol wipe leaves no residue behind. The 5 ton platform runs on rails at up to 20 m per minute and is short enough to pass through a 1200 mm door opening when the deck guards are removed.

Contamination control drove the detail work on this cart. The traction gearbox is a sealed unit with food grade lubricant, the battery box is a welded stainless enclosure rated IP65 with a sloped lid, and the drive wheels use split stainless hubs that can be taken off without cutting the deck. Wiring runs in closed stainless conduit rather than an open cable tray, fasteners are captured so they cannot fall into product, and the deck is fixed with quarter turn clips instead of exposed bolts, allowing a full strip down for cleaning in under fifteen minutes.

• Sloped Drain Channels: the chassis is built with a two degree fall to two stainless drain plugs, so rinse water and cleaning chemicals leave the frame completely.
• Quiet, Emission Free Drive: battery electric traction produces no exhaust and the helical gearbox holds noise below 65 dB at one metre, which matters inside a cleanroom envelope.

Control hardware is specified to match the hygiene standard of the room. The standard pendant is a stainless faceplate with a smooth membrane keypad and no text recesses where soil can collect, while a wireless handset in a sealed polycarbonate housing is offered for rooms where trailing cables are prohibited.

Options include an interlocked door sensor that stops travel when the airlock is closed, a HEPA filtered cabinet cooler for installations inside a classified zone, an anti static wheel set for solvent handling areas, and a data logger that records travel and cleaning cycles for audit purposes. Explosion proof versions are available for rooms handling flammable solvents.

These carts are used in pharmaceutical plants to move drums and trays between granulation, blending and packaging suites, in food factories to shuttle bins of powder, paste and packaged product through washdown zones, in nutraceutical and cosmetics plants where cross contamination control is audited, in medical device assembly where particle count must be held, and in laboratory and pilot plant buildings where a small footprint and low noise matter. Brewing and dairy sites use the cart to move yeast and culture vessels between tanks, and electronics plants use the anti static option to shift coated panels between clean bays.

Each stainless cart is passivated after fabrication, inspected for weld discoloration and dye penetrant tested on all food contact welds. Before shipment the unit runs a two hour load test, and the electrical enclosure is hose tested to verify the IP65 seal.

Surfaces are protected with peelable film, the cart is braced inside a plywood case and shipped in a 20 foot or 40 foot container depending on deck length. Documentation includes material certificates for the stainless sheet, weld inspection records, a cleaning validation guide and an operation manual, which together satisfy most supplier audit requirements.
